Make the most of your stay
Three days to explore the Bajo Nalón
A flexible 3-day itinerary for exploring the Bajo Nalón from Riberas, with time for the coast, local towns and a relaxed return to your apartment.
Day 1 · Pravia and Santianes
Start with the towns and heritage of the Bajo Nalón. Explore Pravia and plan a stop at Santianes, checking the visiting arrangements for the church before setting off.
Leave time for lunch and a relaxed walk. Our apartments have equipped kitchens if you prefer to prepare a meal when you return.
Day 2 · San Juan de la Arena and the coast
Combine San Juan de la Arena with Los Quebrantos. You can spend more time on the beach or choose a walk, depending on the weather.
For a different beach, see our Spanish-language guide comparing Los Quebrantos, Bayas, Aguilar and Las Llanas. Pick one area rather than trying to visit them all in one day.
Day 3 · San Esteban and the viewpoints
Explore San Esteban and the industrial heritage of its port. If you would like a longer walk, look into the Senda de los Miradores along the coast of Muros de Nalón.
The route includes steps and changes in elevation. Decide how far to walk, allow for the return journey and check the official route information. A shorter walk around the port is another option.
Fit the plan around your stay
Arrange the days around your booked nights: check-in is at 5 pm and check-out is by 12 noon. Check the weather, access and opening times before leaving. Pets are welcome at no extra charge, but must not be left alone in the apartment.
